This scarf skirt is made from recycled Japanese fabric.
In a stockroom, I came across a roll of old-timers with a print that appealed to me.
The material is a very fine cotton blended with a touch of linen, giving it a natural crease and a rougher look that contrasts with the softness of the floral patch motifs in powdery tones.
This skirt/sarong is cut to size. The front panel has been modulated by the addition of a cut-out so that it can be enriched with different designs.
A long ribbon allows you to belt it as you wish: straight, draped in front by "twisting" the belt on one side only, or by "twisting" the two ends of the ribbon tightly around the waist so that it becomes a "mermaid".
The fabric panel measures 160 x 85 cm.
